Volunteer/Internships: Get Involved

If you want experience working with individuals and families, we have many clients seeking help on a waiting list. Another language is a plus! 
FACES has opportunities for joining a dynamic team of therapists. Our excellent training program will prepare you for the families and individuals you will see.
Join our active, caring team of professionals and learn how to work with families referred by the courts and social services.

Some experience working with families under stress and in public service is preferred.
You will receive a general orientation, case management/monitor training, and a clinical orientation. 

2 hours of group supervision and/or one hour of individual. We require that you commit to 15 hours per week for at least one year.

Requirements:

  • One year commitment to volunteer training and service

  • Driver's License needed

  • In a Master's or PhD program in practicum or graduated 

  • Must be at least 21

  • Orientation training

  • 15 or more hours per week, including supervision

Assist office manager with responsibilities in data entry, organizing, planning, and implementation/evaluation of family service/professional training/continuing education programs.

Attend weekly staff meetings, set up agendas, take notes, set up appointments, assist with planning, phone calls, interviews, etc. 

Assist in management of operation details, statistics and program details.

Collect data from client database. Evidence based programs require input of data to database. Pre and post 

Work with Office manager to generate and provide reports for board of directors monthly meetings.
Potential opportunity for employment available after probation period of 5 months.

Requirements: 

  • Driver's License needed

  • Must be at least 21 or in college

  • 4-8 hours per week, afternoons preferred for office support

  • Orientation training

  • 6 or more months commitment

  • Have good organizational skills; Word, Excel, Powerpoint

You will be involved in executing marketing strategies that foster a connection between our organization and the community. It’s about how you and the team interact with other organizations, businesses, and individuals in the surrounding areas, especially in ways which our organization gives back and supports the community.

2. Develop ongoing projects such as involving corporations in supporting online and group therapy, which will foster a sense of community among those who see and believe in our mission.

3. Increase our social media engagement to increase outreach and awareness.


Since the pandemic we are arduously working on our outreach in supporting single parents.
We need help setting up virtual connections between our therapists and clients. Help us help them.

Requirements:

  • Driver's License Needed

  • Must be at least 21 or in college

  • Orientation training

  • We expect this work may take one or two hours per day to devote to social media and outreach

This team works on keeping the nonprofit afloat through fundraising and development projects. You will be working on a development plan and fundraising strategies to present to the Board of Directors.

Attend weekly team meetings to discuss working projects and updates on prospective grants.​

Experience in grant writing preferred but not necessary.

  • Desire to partake in new and creative ideas

  • Must be at least 21 or in college

  • 6 months commitment
