Tennille Parish, AMFT
LA Office Director
Tennille Parish is an experienced therapist with a background in working with at risk youth in group homes and with homelessness and mental health.
In 2022 the Board of Directors named Tennille Parish as FACES Executive Director. Tennille began her journey with FACES first as a volunteer counselor and later became the founder and director of our Los Angeles office with Dayna Moore.
She provides FACES the professional guidance and manages the day to day operations.

Administration & Accounting
Sina Maa-Kapesi has been providing comprehensive office management administrative support, bookkeeping, oversees data management, problem solving, training office staff and paying our bills for several years. She oversees the office staff and Program Assistants.

Mary O'Connor, LMFT
Development & Technical Assistance
Mary O'Connor is one of three co-founders of FACES. The agency, built on a dream, has become a mainstay in the community for those in crisis from divorce and other life changing events.
Mary is a licensed MFT in private practice and for 32 years supervised and trained interns in the mental health field.
She has developed programs, policies and procedures, written grants, collaborated with other agencies and contracted county to provide comprehensive services to families.
She has authored two books: Parenting Solo, a Guidebook for Busy Single Parents and the ABCs of Anger Management. Both books are used in classes at FACES.
She retired as Executive Director of FACES in 2022 and is now consulting with the Development Team.
Rudy Gomez, LMFT
El Modena & Anaheim FRC
Rudy started with FACES as an intern and has been supervising interns since 2013. He is a bilingual licensed therapist.
Shelly Gutensohn LMFT
Once a volunteer for FACES, Shelly returns as our clinical supervisor, with an extensive experience in a variety of settings.
Dan Eberhardt, LCSW
Formerly an Adult Abuse Social Worker, Dan is now working part-time in the medical field. Dan has been supervising at FACES for many years. He is currently supervising social work associates.
Dayna Moore, APCC
Counseling Staff Associate
Dayna Moore is a dynamic therapist and former trainer in the Fullerton office. Dayna is compassionate and energetic with her get-the-job done attitude. She has great skills for individual, couples, or group therapy.
She works out of the LA office now, after serving one year at FACES in Fullerton.
Paris Conner, MA, AMFT
Counseling Staff Associate
Paris Conner is a Registered Nurse and has completed her MA in Counseling. She is working with families in court related cases, and with Social Services families in transition.
Grace Nwaiwu, AMFT
Counseling Staff Associate
Grace Nwaiwu graduated from Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology. Grace is an experienced therapist who has worked with low income and faith-based communities. In addition to being a therapist, Grace is also a seasoned educator who enjoys working with children and their families to solve problems and build stronger connections. She is bilingual in English and Igbo.
Berenice Monnarez, MFTT
Berenice Monnarez, an experienced bilingual counselor has been working with single parent families, and is working currently at the Anaheim Independencia FaCT Family Resource Center with families in transition.
Shannon Barth, MFTT
Shannon Barth is completing her Masters in MFT and sees clients through telehealth all over the state of California. Her upbeat attitude and confident support of clients is a magnet for those she serves. She specializes in co-parenting therapy and families in transition.
Mari Anderson, AMFT
Mari Anderson has extensivev experience working with students, educators and parents in the school system and now is immersed as a therapist. She completed her Masters in MFT and sees clients in the South County office. She specializes in co-parenting therapy and families in transition.
Jennifer Castanda, MFTT
Jennifer Castanda brings extensive experience serving families going through crises in their lives working with therapists in a private practice setting in an administrative role to the table. As a therapist she supports her colleagues and clients and brings her knowledge and confidence that together they can get problems solved and relationships healed.
COMMON GROUND PROGRAM
Senior Staff Manager
Esther Gallardo began her journey at FACES over 15 years ago and has a passion for helping single parents and children. She is very involved in the development of our agency.
Alexandria graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. She taught the parenting class from the El Modena Resource Center. Alexandria is a Certified Professional Monitor of Supervised Visitation out of the Fullerton office. She is also a field pioneer as the first Monitor to perform virtual visitation via Telehealth. Alexandria is currently attending California State University, Fullerton, to earn a Masters’s Degree in Counseling.
Whitney graduated from the University of Southern California with her Bachelor's in Health & Human Sciences with an emphasis in Psychology. She aspires to work in fields of law & policy to fight social inequalities. Whitney has spent the past few years competing in indoor drumline and drum corps, while also teaching local high school marching bands. Whitney is very excited to help expand FACES's outreach to the community.
Ryan is currently a Psychology undergraduate at UCLA. Pursuing a career in social work himself, he's thrilled to be able to help his community through FACES with work on the web and fundraising projects.
Kassie is currently attending the University of California, Santa Barbara, as a Sociology-English double-major. Most of her studies focus on researching psychological theories, deviance in society, and social control. She aspires to use the sympathies of each field to work closely with the youth of her community and to fight adversity with compassionate vigor.
Taylor Kim attended California State University of Long Beach for a Bachelors in Science in Criminal Justice & Criminology. Kim joined FACES in 2020 with an interest in working with families and youth. Kim is pursuing an education in law and hopes to gain a career in family law.
